Funded by housing provider Abri, the free five-week energy efficient cookery course has taken place through November and December in the Sawyers Close community room.

On completion of the course customers have been given a low energy kitchen appliance to keep.
Robin Van Creveld, Community Chef, said: “Teaching local people about energy efficient cooking has been very rewarding. I love seeing my students growing in confidence and putting what they have learnt into practice.
“The atmosphere is genuinely positive and uplifting. Activities such as this help people to make new friends and feel part of a supportive community.”
